TJ Afdasta has owned a construction company for fifteen years. In that time he’s personally hired hundreds of laborers for short-term and same-day jobs — and watched the same problems happen every week. Workers no-show. A two-person job at 9am turns into a scramble at 7am. Craigslist is somehow still the best option.
His brother Milad has spent twenty years building consumer software in Massachusetts, most recently at Meta. So they built the tool TJ wishes he’d had: a map of nearby workers who are actually available right now, jobs that auto-expire when the work is done, and chat-based hiring with no applications and no résumés.
